” 2008 is an important year for Scotch Whisky distillers. After the most detailed review of the category for almost a century, the UK Government has proposed comprehensive new legislation, due to come into force in 2008, governing how Scotch Whisky must be produced and labelled. Its aim is to provide additional protection for Scotch Whisky and to ensure consumers worldwide receive clear and accurate information about what they are buying.
