What do the institutions gain by incurring expenditure on A & A?
NAAC role is to help institutions to improve its performance through the process of Assessment and Accreditation. It is beneficial to the institutions to get themselves assessed so that quality improvement can be made, which will pay rich dividends in the long run. Besides, as per the “Guidelines for UGC Assistance for Assessment and Accreditation of Higher Education Institutions” projected expenditure to be incurred for the peer team visit is only Rs.1,00,000/- for Colleges and Rs.1,60,000/- for Universities.
