What Do The Dutchmen Like?
Only those who never communicated with Dutchmen can say that they are cold, stiff and boring people. Even though they sometimes look too discreet, they are in fact very inquisitive and active. They simply adore traveling and visiting cultural events. Even the smallest village has its culture centre where they organise concerts are exhibitions. Gloomy peasants like these events as well – be it an orchestra concert, a motet or a concert by a world-known soloist, many of which, by the way, often come to visit Dutch villages. Even literary evenings are always overcrowded – they seem to enjoy communication with writers. And it comes from the bottom of their hearts. When spring comes, Amsterdam is filled with music tunes. Various music celebrities come to the “Northern Venice”. Free afternoon concerts (or “lunch concerts”) are organised here twice a month. This way those who can’t afford a ticket for an evening concert get a chance to discover the world of beautiful music. One of the venues
