What do the different triage levels mean?
The different Triage Levels pertain primarily to the type of service level that is associated with the different Software: Triage Level 1: (primarily COTS software) This software is sold and installed through the Catalog. It is integrated and deemed interoperable as well as maintained by ODIN. Triage Level 2: (primarily government owned software) This software is sold and installed through the Catalog. It is integrated and deemed interoperable. Maintenance is coordinated through ODIN to a designated NASA point of contact. Triage Level 3: (non-ODIN software) This software can be sold through the catalog. It may be installed by adding a one-time software install option via the catalog, or may be installed by the user. It is NOT integrated or deemed interoperable by ODIN. It is also not maintained by ODIN or NASA. NOTE: If this software is installed by the user and causes a problem with the system there may be a fee assessed to return the system to its prior operational status.
