What do the Device Status Indicators Mean?
The status of your BlackBerry’s connection to the T-Mobile network is shown in the top right-hand corner of the screen. This table explains the statuses you might see, what they mean and how to troubleshoot any problems caused. Status Description Troubleshooting steps OFF No phone/SMS or data transfer functionality will be available. Go to Manage Connections and turn the Mobile network on. X You may be out of coverage. No phone/SMS or data transfer functionality will be available. Move to an area with coverage Wait for the device to connect to the service. Remove and re-insert the battery to allow the device to log back on. SOS You cannot send or receive email, PIN, or SMS messages. You cannot place or answer phone calls. You cannot browse web pages. If your SIM PIN is enabled, enter your PIN Check to ensure your SIM is inserted correctly Remove and re-insert the battery GSM You may not have data coverage in your location. You can send and receive SMS messages. You can place and answer
