All Councillors are entitled to a sitting fee in accordance with the Local Government Act. The annual fee for a Councillor is $7,000 and the Mayor is entitled to $14,000. The Mayor also receives a Mayoral Allowance as set out by the Local Government Department. The fees have not increased for the last eight years.
