What do the colors under the “light pollution” column mean?

The light pollution color codes on chart-list pages are the light pollution ratings of those sites as determined by the amazing lightpollution maps at The World Atlas of the Artificial Night Sky Brightness (used with permission). Basically white mean abysmal conditions and black means as good as you can get.
