What do the BTEC Qualifications developed in support of SIA licensing comprise?
The first four qualifications developed to support the SIA licensing progress are: BTEC Award in Door Supervision BTEC Award in Vehicle Immobilisation BTEC Award in Security Operations BTEC Award in CCTV Operation (Public Space Surveillance) Each qualification is at level 2 on the National Qualifications Framework, contains 30 hours of learning and comprises 2 units. Units are tested by a one hour multiple choice test. Additionally the CCTV qualification contains a practical skills assessment. The BTEC Certificate in Close Protection Operations is at level 3 on the National Qualifications Framework, contains150 hours of learning and comprises 5 units. It is tested by a 90 minute multiple choice test and a practical skills assessment. Some learners who have evidence of prior accredited training or qualifications may be exempt from all or part of the delivered training and assessment.
