What do the Broadcast Categories mean?
Local = 210 Local DMA (Designated Market Areas as defined by Nielsen). Each local market has its own affiliate of a major network (i.e., ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, etc) Cable = National airing stations available only on Cable (i.e., not broadcasted over the airways) Cable television is the same in every market. National = Television content that airs on the same network across the country. Usually Prime Time television is always national. International = Non US-based television content. Syndicated = Programs that air on different networks in different markets. Certain markets will compete to air a syndicated show which can result in it being shown on different networks at different times.
