What do the binoculars do for the Recon Kit?
This item gives you a Laser Guided Bomb that you can drop onto the enemy. The only catch to using it is that it has a “charge time” where you must keep the laser on the vehicle long enough for it to lock on. Once you get an audio confirmation (usually says received request for JDAM or something to that effect), you have about 1 to 2 seconds to move into a better hiding spot. Once you have a birds eye view of the Bomb, you can use the right stick to guide it in. You ARE exposed while guiding the bomb, as your soldier will stand up. Always remember though that even if you don’t get a kill with the bomb, just destroying the vehicle can be enough to truly help your team. You can also lock on to unoccupied vehicles, artillery, AA guns, mounted RPGs, etc… etc… and then guide it in to hit a nearby location that may be full of opposing troops.
