What do the banquet chairs do?
There’s a banquet after each season. The banquet chair organizes the event, which includes: working with the liaison coordinator to get volunteers, getting the banquet flier written and distributed to all teams and coaches, collecting reservations and money, ordering food, set up the night of the banquet, collecting money at the door from walk-ins, making sure the treasurer provides a cash box, coordinating with the cafeteria staff (the spring banquet is usually held outside), and cleaning up. The chair doesn’t do all the work — he or she makes sure that every job is assigned and is being done.
