He’s obviously putting on quite an act for television particularly on Hells Kitchen. I think he’s a perfectionist but for good reason. When you’re paying a high premium for fine dining and waiting even the usual time you should expect the best and he makes sure to deliver even if the timing shames him. The rude act is for real to a degree but he overplays it for the camera because it’s his shtik. When he’s overseeing excellence he rewards it as forcefully as he condemns poor cooking and serving skills. He’s a bit much but only to garner ratings and the fact is he’s actually alot like many or most bosses around the world.
