What do the abbreviations on the label mean (for example, IU, RE, etc.)?
Super Blue Green Algae contains the natural form of Vitamin A called pro-vitamin A, or beta-carotene. Vitamin A and beta-carotene are currently measured and reported in either International Units (IU) or Retinol Equivalents (RE): 1 RE = 10 IU. The enzyme activity levels listed on several of our product labels are defined below. All activity levels used by Simplexity Health are in accordance with the Food Chemical Codex.
