Looping is one of the three programmatic elements (looping, teaming and advising) of the Promise-Readiness Corps. By looping with students – teaching the same cohort of students for two consecutive school years – PRC teachers will be able to better track their students’ academic and social development, informing more effective instruction. During the 2009-2010 school year, Pittsburgh Federation of Teachers leadership and Pittsburgh Public School administrators and teachers learned more about the looping models existing locally at City High and Pittsburgh Milliones-University Preparatory.
