What do “Sudar” and “Ushassu”, the names of WEP’s centers, mean?
Because our programs provide inspiration and hope to our students, we have chosen “light” as our unifying theme, and we have named our centers using the word for light in the local languages of each center: Sudar, which means “light” in Tamil and Ushassu, which means “morning dawn” in Telugu. WEP’s newest program, Illume, mean light in Old English. All future WEP centers will continue to be named using words for light in the local language.
