What do students learn when they participate in the Teen Lures TV Newscast/School Program?
Teen Lures Prevention teaches youngsters life skills in personal safety. Student anchors discuss how to distinguish between appropriate and inappropriate behavior, both offline and online, and how to recognize and avoid potentially dangerous behaviors, people and situations. Teens are encouraged to think critically, analyze situations and learn how to recognize and trust their gut instincts. The Teen Lures TV Newscast provides an excellent opportunity for middle and high school students to actively participate in preventing crimes against teens and youth. Students serve as news anchors, offering their peers both awareness and safety solutions in the face of troubling news.
