What do student fees fund?
Student fees funds many of the organizations, activities, services, and facilities that enhance the Georgia Tech student experience. The Student Activity Fee funds the budgets of student organizations, student-focused events on campus, and partially funds operation and maintenance for the Student Center and the Campus Recreation Center (CRC). The Technology Fee supports the purchase of and maintenance of technological equipment and services on campus. For example, improvements to T-Square and the student portal may be implemented using funds from the technology fee. The technology fee also covers the purchase of key software (such as Matlab). Training on this type of software gives Georgia Tech students a competitive advantage in the job market.
