What do scientists say about EMFs?
To date, many hundreds of studies have reported that EMFs can interact with the cells and organs of our bodies, cause important biological changes and effects, and may be linked to serious illnesses including several types of cancer. Some scientists believe that the overall health effects are minimal when compared to other toxins like asbestos, or that the studies in general are still too inconsistent or inconclusive. Most agree that further research is needed. Therefore, many experts, such as Dr. Granger Morgan at Carnegie Mellon University, recommend a policy of “prudent avoidance” reducing EMFs whenever possible without excessive cost or inconvenience.
