WHAT DO RESIDENTS DO FOR FUN IN SALEMTOWNE?
There is something for everyone—and if you don’t see anything you like, we will start a new activity! Besides the activities already mentioned, there are well organized Men’s and Women’s Golf Clubs that plan special golfing events and frequent tournaments, bingo, book clubs, creative writing, card clubs, men’s and women’s clubs, hospitality club, RV club, theatre group, tai chi, water aerobics, and woodcarvers. Nearby Chemeketa Community College and Willamette University provide continuing education classes. Our great group of volunteers also plans holiday and other activities throughout the year for the residents. Some of these activities include a Newcomer’s Party, a Halloween Party, an Advent Walk around the golf course, a Christmas party, a New Year’s Eve Party, summer socials, and a parking lot “garage” sale.
