What do protein shakes do?
Think of protein as a house made out of Legos, and amino acids as the individual Legos. When you eat protein, it is broken down into it’s individual amino acids… those amino acids are then used to build muscle, skin, hair, and other tissues that your body needs. You can only absorb so much protein at once, so taking a lot of it will not add any extra muscle… you just have to take enough of it. Taking too much will just result in you coverting it to fat, and storing it as fat, or simply pissing it out, thus pissing your money down the toilet. Whey protein is some of the highest quality protein on the market… think of a lego house that uses all the cool lego parts, so when you take it apart, you can build almost anything. The best way to use protein is to take it AFTER you work out, and in a moderate amount. Then after a few hours have passed, and your body has had time to absorb it, take another moderate amount. Taking one big shake will just be a waste. Good luck! Work out hard!!
