What do portals, rune stones, and circles do?
In campaign levels, the roles of the dark portals, rune stones, and circles of power are explained by the introductions to the appropriate levels. However, in custom maps (PUD’s), they can serve no roles other than decoration. Using w2xed, it is possible to assign different characteristics to all buildings. For instance, a rune stone could be made into a gold collection point. See the section above about third-party products for more about war2xed.
