What do piston heads do? Which are available?
Upgraded piston heads feature holes cut in the front face of the head. When the piston is traveling forward, the air goes through those holes and forces the o-ring on the piston head outwards to create a seal in the cylinder. When the piston is being retracted for the next shot, the o-ring collapses down into the channel it resides in because no air is forcing it outwards. Thus, it can cycle more quickly. Upgraded piston heads come in either polycarbonate or aluminum form. The aluminum version can be slightly heavier, but will not shatter like the polycarbonate ones will do on occaision. The aluminum one imparts more force on the mechbox shell however, so it can have a negative effect on your infamous Ver2 mechbox shell cracking up near the nozzle. The third kind of piston head is the silent type, which is a plastic head with a rubber bumper on it to cushion the impact.
