What do people look for in a soul mate?
An harmonious match of energies. One of the previous answers says that we look for ‘what we don’t have’ in a soul mate, and that could well be true, though I would like to change that slightly to, ‘the qualities which are absent in ourselves.’ For instance, a shy man would probably look for a more confident woman, and a highly-strung woman may well seek out a level-headed man. That way, the two energy forms would balance out. The shy man would gain some confidence, and the level-headed man’s peace would rub off on the highly-strung woman. This though is also subject to having some similar traits and interests, so that they have common interests to appeal to eachother in the first encounters.
