What do people in el salvador eat?
In all of my visits to El Salvador I ate pretty much the same foor I did within the US. The country has all of our fast food restaraunts and many of our chains such as Tony Romas as well. One evening we went out to eat a traditional dish called papusas. These are a thick tortilla (corn or rice) and are stuffed with cheese, meat, or other fillings. While this wasn’t something that I would go out and look for at dinner time they weren’t bad. The country has a great deal of Spanish influence in it’s food so you will find empanadas, tamales, yuca and plantains as well.
