People who race pigeons normally put a little extra effort into keeping their birds into tip top shape, so they’ll have the best results in the end. It takes a little more work than just having a few birds for fun in the backyard. It makes me feel better about my birds if I can scrape the loft clean everyday. I try not to go more than 3 or 4 days without cleaning it. We also like to get the best food, medicine, supplements, and other supplies we can for the birds. 2. You keep them in a loft. You normally have separate lofts or sections for Old Birds, Young Birds, and then your Breeders. Depending on how you plan on flying your birds, your set up may be different.
