What do people do during their free time in South Korea?
Those who teach English in Korea quickly discover that South Korea has a large population of expatriates teaching and working in the country. This community creates a built-in social network for traveling around Asia or hanging out on weekends. During their off hours, teachers enjoy scoping out the nightlife, trying Korean cuisine, or traveling. Every city in Korea has a thriving nightlife scene with karaoke clubs, dance clubs, and bars. Movies are also a huge draw in Korea, and theaters show “foreign” films (like the ones we might watch at home in the U.S.) in their original languages with Korean subtitles.
