What do PC/China Volunteers do for fun?
China PCVs have many opportunities to relax and have fun while in China. While at home, volunteers read, watch DVDs, exercise, and visit friends and coworkers. PCVs also learn new skills ranging from Sichuan cooking to Taichi to calligraphy and more, as well as exploring markets, architecture, and other aspects of Chinese life. In addition, PC/China Volunteers use holidays and breaks to travel to other cities and provinces. Popular spots for PCV vacations include: Lijiang, Yunnan – ancient city with cobblestone streets and canals; Tiger Leaping Gorge hike. Yangshuo, Guangxi – limestone (karst) mountains among winding rivers.
