What do parents do at Back to School Night in September?
At Back to School Night, the principal welcomes parents and introduces the teachers and other staff, and provides a brief overview of the school’s program for the year. After this welcome meeting, you go to your child’s classroom and introduce yourself to the teacher. The teacher will provide you with more details about what your child will be learning during the year, and what you can do to support your child in school. Remember, this is NOT the time for an individual conference about your child, but most teachers will have a Parent Conference Sign-up Sheet available for the upcoming November parent conferences.
