What do indian men and women think about cosmetic surgery in their culture?

Indian culture is still very male-dominated, so if some of the men wanted to have surgery, they may not do so because it would make them seem somehow ‘lesser’ men for trying to ‘beautify’ themselves. If their womenfolk would like surgery, I don’t think there is any religious objection as such, but it would be down to the man to decide. Also, most Indians are not very well off, and surgery is prohibitively expensive, so they would likely do without.
