What do independent schools do in respect of work experience for pupils?
We only had a very small number of responses to this query so any answer is not really representative of what the independent schools do. However all replies were to the effect that they encouraged work experience, mostly after GCSE. A couple told us that they work with Connexions to sort out H&S and insurance issues, as well as getting the employers to sign their own school forms. 9. Risk assessments for keeping chickens We did not get many responses to this question though a few of you were interested in the reply as you are thinking of getting some chickens for your school. One school reported buying chickens via Omlet and the company provided a risk assessment form. The school reported a very positive experience with keeping the chickens. 10.
