What do I search on E-Bay in order to purchase the Phoenix Coyotes?
What a mess. If you read as much on it as I have, the real stumbling block is the city of Glendale. They won’t move on the fees they’re charging and that’s the biggest reason no one can make money with this team. I read over the leagues proposal last night and I’m just waiting to talk to our corporate lawyer on this. He’s been following it closely too. From what I can gather the league will buy the team and run it for the next year. If they can not find a local buyer by a pre-prescribed date, the Phoenix Coyotes will cease to exist next June 15. The league is even prepared to move the team themselves if they have to. The league is budgeting to lose at least $20M next season running the team. The most perplexing part is they will not pay more than $140M total for the team and will not satisfy ALL the creditors. Only Michael Dell’s company would get their full money back ($80M). Most of the interest for the team is in moving them to a new location and Las Vegas is ripe for the picking. I
