A. A sunny roof. A sloped, south-facing roof is ideal, but with the appropriate mounting hardware, flat roofs are good as well. A typical MicroFIT Solar Energy System would included the solar panels (modules), mounting hardware to attach it to your roof, a inverter to convert the DC power from the panels to AC power for the grid, and a dedicated Hydro meter. FIT & MicroFIT systems are ‘grid-tied’, so they do not use batteries to store power.
