What do I need to run XLink/Win?

0

All you need is Windows, one free serial port, and a serial interface cable compatible with your electronic organizer model. XLink/Win does not require a lot of disk space or CPU speed. It will run on any version of Windows since Windows 3.1 or Windows NT 3.5, including Windows 3.11, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows/NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Vista, WinOS2, Windows emulators for Mac such as Softwin or Virtual PC, and the Wine Windows emulator for Unix (including Linux). It uses only standard hardware and software features supported by all systems, so it is broadly compatible with everything. The download package contains everything you need to install and run XLink/Win. You must supply your own organizer serial cable. XLink/Win supports all types of Casio serial cables, but only certain cables for the Sharp organizers. For more information on cables, including where to get one if you don’t have one, see Casio Cables or Sharp Cables.
