What do I need to apply to the Doctor of Optometry program? What is involved in the application process?
You will require 2 years of undergraduate study in a Bachelor of Science (BSc) program before applying. You can apply from any science program provided that you satisfy all of the prerequisites outlined by the School of Optometry. Applicants from UW are not given preferential treatment over applicants from other universities. Other parts of the application process include: the OAT (Optometry Admission Test), references, an autobiographical sketch, an essay, and an interview.
