What do I get from Lavalife?
The site has three segments: Dating, relationships or intimate encounters. There’s no specific “marriage” focus, which is a bit surprising, but it all comes under the “relationship” header. You can set up a different profile, using a different screen name, under each of these headings. From a user perspective, the options are nice, but the site would probably be better served if it at least made you keep the same screen name under the different sections, so someone can check against someone posing as looking for commitment, but also having posted under intimate encounters. Profiles run the gamut, from quick hits to extreme detail, particularly with the essay or free-form answers. As you would figure, the “relationship” segment features the most detailed profiles.
