Depends on what parks you are talking about. At water parks, yes, you can rent a locker. At theme parks, it depends. Universal won’t let you take anything on coasters. They are very strict. And there is not a place beside the rides, but there should be lockers nearby that you can use for free for an hour. At Disney, they let you carry on with you. You might want to consider getting your girlfriend a water-proof bag to carry instead of a purse and you might want to get one, too, or just drop your wallet in a Zip-lock bag for the water rides.
