What do i do when i have scratched my cornea and my parents are not home?!
1. Call one or both of your parents and tell them what happened, and that you think you may need to see a doctor. 2. If you can’t reach your parents, try another adult who you are close to, like a grandparent, aunt/uncle, neighbor, or someone like that. 3. If you can’t get a hold of any adults who can take you to the doctor or emergency room, find your eye doctor’s phone number and call the office. Explain what happened and that there is no adult who can bring you in right now. Ask what to do until an adult gets home. 4. If you can’t reach the eye doctor, call a local emergency room and ask for advice. Your eyes are important, and you shouldn’t hesitate to call your parents about this kind of emergency. Good luck!
