What do I do until the GatorLink accounts are ready for departmental use?
Actually not much different from what you do today. For most departments, when you join the tree you will place all of the department’s users, groups, print queues, and servers (all of the objects) in one container. You might have these in a shallow hierarchy within that container. You will have control over all of these objects. You will have the ability to define their trust relationships, memberships, passwords, scripts, etc. This is no different from what you are doing today whether you are in NetWare 2.x, 3.x or 4.x. You can continue working this way until you are ready to enable your services to work with the user objects in the Gatorlink namespace. There is no deadline, indeed no pressure at all, to do this.
