Pragma PocketVT sends the standard VT escape sequences to the SSH/TelnetServer. However, the third party application launched on the SSH/TelnetServer could be expecting a custom set of escape sequences when function keys (hardware keys and PocketVT soft keys) are pressed on the handheld device.
