What do I do if Word and/or other Microsoft Office applications appear in German or Spanish (particularly in room 218, 219, or 220)?
We have many classes that teach foreign languages in our classrooms (mainly German and Spanish). To enhance the learning environment, we have installed a Multi Lingual User Interface for Microsoft Office in all our classrooms. In order to provide this functionality, while not impairing others ability to use Office in English, we have set up special accounts for use in those particular classes. Please do not attempt to disable or change the Language Bar settings if this happens. Simply log out and log back in as “student” by following these simple steps: • Click “Start” in the lower left corner of the screen • Click the “Log Off ” button. • Windows prompts you if you are sure, Click Yes. • Momentarily, you will be at the “Welcome to Windows Screen”. • Follow the steps mentioned above to log in to the computer as “student”.
