What do I do if PCguard Anti-Virus finds a virus but doesn delete it?
PCguard will automatically provide information on how to deal with the infected file. The infection may be in the System Restore files, which are more difficult to disinfect as they are protected by your operating system. It is sometimes necessary to disable the “System Restore” feature in Windows and run another scan. If you disable the System Restore feature, you should create a new restore point. For more information on System Restore, it is advisable to refer to the Help section of Windows or check with your PC vendor, as this is not something that Virgin Media can support, and it can be a bit risky if you don’t really know what you’re doing.
