What do I do if I have a major sporting commitment during Uni time?
The School endeavours to minimise disadvantage to students who have state or national representative sporting commitments that require absences from University. Such commitments may take the form of important competitions or training camps. Any student who expects to miss classes must see the Unit Coordinator well in advance of any absence to organise additional teaching materials or other special arrangements. Any student who expects to be absent from an assessment must submit an application for Special Consideration. The application must be accompanied by a letter from the appropriate sports governing body specifying the nature of the competition or training camp and the duration of absence. Applications must be submitted before the period of absence from University. See the section “Special Consideration” in Chapter 4 of the Faculty of Health Sciences Undergraduate Faculty Handbook for further details [found in the “Student Administration Information” section of the on-line version
