If your computer has SPSS 12.0.1 installed and you are encountering this problem please follow the instructions below: In order to install by Group Policy the application SPSS 12 requires a modified installation of InstallScript. This modified version is not compatible with the installation of some other software, notably Oracle Calendar Sync for Pocket PC. If you need to install Oracle Calendar Sync for Pocket PC this version of InstallScript must be removed first, to do so requires access to the \\ads.bris.ac.uk\software\MSIs share and will therefore require a computer officer or other support person. • Copy spss-fixed-isscript.msi from \\ads.bris.ac.uk\msis\SPSS 12.0.1 to the local hard disk • Open a command prompt at the location where you copied the file • At that command prompt type msiexec /x spss-fixed-isscript.msi • You will be prompted whether you wish to remove the product, to which you answer Yes.
