What do I dislike about the Floormate?
The noise level is incredibly loud. Whenever I turn on the Floormate, pets and humans leave the room. I personally use hearing protection whenever operating the unit. The handle does not angle down far enough to reach below furniture like most ordinary upright vacuum cleaners. The tank sizes are very small. Large rooms will require frequent filling and emptying of the tanks. The on/off switch is located too far down the unit. Tall people will have to stoop down quite far. The switch should have been placed on the handle. Emptying the bottom dirty water pickup tank is a nuisance. The filter is not held in with a snap-down cover. More often than not, the filter and the filter cap fall out. I find that reassembling the bottom tank cover is tricky, and the bottom tank doesn’t fit back easily into the unit. I often have to bang the bottom tank back into place. Of the entire cleaning process, I dread emptying and replacing the bottom tank the most. The dry vacuum mode is close to worthle
