What do hunger pains feel like during pregnancy?
Well, pregnancy can increase stomach sensitivity, acid heartburn and related symptoms, and it can also increase the appetite so that you have to eat more often. Ironically – as is well known – it can also cause nausea in the early stages, which can make it pretty near impossible to respond to those hunger pangs! However, although I don’t wish to shoot down your hopes and REALLY hope that you are indeed pregnant, bear in mind that women who are trying to conceive are often hyper-sensitive about changes in their bodies. This can mean that you interpret every change as a possible sign of pregnancy, which makes it very disappointing if you then find out this isn’t the case. On balance…I’d say that sadly you probably won’t know until you’re at the point where you can do an early pregnancy test! If you wait until the day your period is due, you can usually get a reliable answer from a good HPT, though if this shows negative you can always do a repeat test a few days later to make sure. Per
