What do homeless people spend their money on?
Food, Booze, Drugs, Cigarettes, & Good Will (i.e. Clothes, Sleeping Bags, or Blankets.) Unfortunately, there is a large population of people begging that are not actually homeless and at the end of the day, they go to the grocery store, stop off at Blockbuster, then go to their HOMES for the night. There were a lot of stories on this a few years ago and they followed a guy and his fraud-partner as they spent the day begging and then got fast food, groceries, blockbuster, then they met up and went back to the house that they shared. Between the scam artists, and drug addicts/alcoholics, I don’t give money to the homeless any more. I’ve had too many times when I see a sign that says “Food” and I give them an apple or something like that and as I drive away, I look in the rear view mirror and see them throw the apple etc. over their shoulder when they think I’m not looking. I will give them food… I will give them a blanket… I will give them socks… BUT I WILL NEVER GIVE THEM MONEY be
