What do hermit crabs look like without their shells on?
Kind of like aliens, at least to me. This is kind of a gross but educational photo I took of Kling after he passed away. As you can see, his “tail” appears much softer than the rest of his body and seems to curl in the same way that his shell does/did. Hermit crabs use their tails to wrap around the inside of their shells.
