What do GDA 94, WGS 84 and AGD 66 mean?
GDA 94, WGS 84 and AGD 66 are geodetic datums. They are used in conjunction with latitude and longitude to identify a particular point on the surface of the Earth. GDA 94 and WGS 84 are the most recent datums, and the National Public Toilet Map uses GDA 94 to store and display the location of toilet facilities. These datums are compatible with GPS devices, and appear on new maps. AGD 66 is an older Australian-specific datum that is sometimes used on older maps. It varies from GDA 94 by around 200 metres.
