Yeah try giving him some live food, crickets like you said or also live mealworms or bloodworms. Seeing the food moving around should get him more excited to eat. Also bugs that are alive let out certain smells and sounds that will excite the predator in your frog. 🙂 You can get live bugs at most pet stores.
