What do exact match and broad match mean?
Broad match is the default setting for keywords submitted to Copernic Media Solutions. It means that your advertisement will be matched to, or displayed for, any query containing one of your submitted keywords. Exact match, on the other hand, ensures that your ad listings are only served when an exact match to a submitted keyword has been searched for. E.g. When you broad match the keyword puppy, your listing will be displayed for: puppy, puppy food, puppy training, buy a puppy, puppy names, puppy love, skinny puppy, etc. E.g. When you exact match the keyword puppy, your listing will only appear for puppy- i.e. on searches for “puppy” only. You can adjust your match options on the Set Bid Prices page. Use the drop-down menu in the Matching column to choose broad or exact match for each keyword. Be sure to click on Save Changes to activate your match option.
